Wisdom | Weekly Knowledge
In June 1995, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar began giving a short weekly talk, often on a topic relevant to current events. The journey for this gathering started in New Delhi and concluded in Rishikesh, India. Along the way, it included numerous travels around the globe, during which many hearts and minds were blessed with the wisdom of this enlightened being. Every week, this knowledge was shared via email, fax, and post—reaching every continent. Whether we are reading a lecture from years ago or hearing a recent one for the first time, the wisdom always remains fresh and meaningful.
In Bulgarian, these teachings have been compiled into two books: Celebrating Silence and Celebrating Love. Below you can read the knowledge in its original English, organized by topic.
Meditation as a Path to Higher Awareness
While you are awake, you are constantly engaged in watching, eating, working, and chasing various things. In deep sleep, you are completely switched off and unaware.
Meditation Releases Accumulated Impressions
Don’t make efforts to impress others or to express yourself. Your efforts to impress someone will be in vain.
Embracing Infinity
Every cell in the human body has the capacity to embrace infinity. A worm also eats, sleeps, and goes about its routine functions. Life has to be more than just that. We must use the full potential gifted to us by nature—the potential to embrace infinity with every single cell of our being.
